Mindgames
Founded in 1990, American Mensa’s Mind Games® has become one of the most respected national games competitions. For the first seven years, the event was held in New York. In 1996, Mind Games began moving around the country to allow more Mensa members the opportunity to participate.
Manufacturers and inventors from around the world enter new-to-the-market games into the annual competition. Over a three-day period, Mensans gather at the host location, divide into groups, play the games, fill out score sheets and comment cards, and rank their favorites.
Of the more than 50 games entered each year, five are chosen as Mensa Select®. Winners such as Scattergories™, Taboo™ and Apples to Apples™ have gone on to become top-sellers and award-winners.
